Also known as James Scarlet, and originally from France. The roots are smooth, bright orange-red and grow ten to twelve inches in length. They are exceptionally sweet and tender. Like most carrot varieties, 'St. Valery' grows best in light, sandy soil. 80 to 90 days to maturity.
