AKA Finnocchio. This organic Italian variety has broad overlapping leaves that form a large, edible, bulb-like base below its celery-like stalks. Plant grows to 3 feet tall and has a mild anise/licorice flavor from the base to the dill-like leafy tops. A staple in Sicilian cuisine.
