The Early Blood Turnip-Rooted beet is one of the oldest surviving varieties of table beet, having been introduced in America by 1820. Good all purpose variety with dark red flesh that is sweet, crisp, and tender. Excellent market and home garden variety for summer and autumn use. Now relatively rare.
